eyeless albino burmese hatchling

robin123 Dec 19, 2004 10:38 PM

My burm clutch hatched while I was in Costa Rica. I was surprised to find one of the babies is eyeless. Is it possible for it to live a semi normal life in this condition? It looks like a sock puppet that someone pulled the eyes off of...............Robin

I had a blind ball python once,he did just fine!I've heard of a few other Burms born without eyes, they were reportedly all good eaters, and healthy. If it eats,I wouldn't worry about it!It will make one heck of a conversation piece!!

That is good to hear. It just shed today, so will soon find out if it eats. Need to probe it also so I can quit saying "it" LOL........Robin

well since I saw the first pics of an eyeless burm on this forum. Could you please shoot me an e-mail. If you are interested, I'll buy it if you can give me a good price.. reptiles9760@yahoo.com Now there are lots of people who will tell you that you need to put it down because of a future safety, because it cannot see you, but with the right safety procedures it will be fine. Even if you are not interetsed in selling it give us some more info and pics pics pics. I am like obsessed with themn for soem reason.
