New thermometer

cable2001 Dec 20, 2004 07:29 AM

Cool! I stole the idea from someone in an earlier post and bought one of the digital indoor/outdoor thermometers. I mounted the thermomoeter itself to the back wall in the cool side of the tank and ran the wire under the sand and came up from behind the rocks to put the probe in the basking spot.

It is really cool to see both temps in the same spot. Right now, I'm averaging just over 70 degrees in the cool side. The opposite end ranges from 100 degrees during the day to 75 degrees at night.

I'll try to remember to post pics tonight.

Hey, when you post the pics, do you think you could also post a little more in-depth info on how you did it? I don't have a thermometer anymore, it broke, but I know the temps are right (I haven't changed anything). I'd love to be able to keep a closer eye on his cage temps.
