MALE vs FEMALE?

amoeba14 Dec 20, 2004 08:37 AM

I'm in the market to get my first ball but am not sure if i want a male or female. I'm leaning towards a male because I've read and heard they do not get very "big" in regards to overall length. I'm really looking for an animal that will grow to 3 feet or a little more. Anyone out there have any suggestions? Anyone have a full grown adult male that is over this length? Thanks for the help.

Tim

Females get larger that's for sure. I have had males over 4ft in length.

Is it common for males to grow over 4 feet? Most times, balls are in a "ball" position, correct? So if it was 4 feet long, it wouldt rarely spread itself out to a full 4 feet in length. Most of the time it would be condensed to its "ball" position. Is this true?

It sounds to me like your looking for a pet. Boy, girl, what difference dose it make? You can't tell by looking. If you don't want it to get big don't feed it every 5 days. On the other hand if you don't even want to risk a snake getting over 3' look into rosy boas or another snake that is under 3' when fully grown.

P.S. There are some really killer morphs of them there rosy boas.
