Females up to 14 inches. Very large turtles.
Males slightly smaller, I've seen one that was 8" at a few years of age. Get yourself Ernst and Barber's book, Turtles of the World if you will be investigating other species. Peterson's Field Guide to reptiles of the US isn't bad, either.
