hi all
i recently purchased a larger tank for my fbt's to dwell in (they've been in there for about 3 nights already...) anyway, they are mating NONSTOP and i am worried, since i cannot get either of them to eat. they keep mating and won't separate. will someone please help me, or give me advice? thank you

from my past experience with a few seasons of mating, they do stay together in amplexus for several days and then lay eggs before separating. How long has yours been together? Have the eggs been laid already?

they have been together ever since i got the new tank. i separated them and put the female in a separate tank to and tried to feed her from there, but she still would not eat. they never separate from each other. i believe they have laid eggs already several times (the white transulent stuff with many small black dots?) is this all normal? thanks in advance.

I don't know much about FBT but it sounds like you do have eggs. May want to move them to another tank so hat the toxins from the toads don't harm them. As far as I know, they won't eat while they are mating but once they do separate yo may want to possibly separate them for a bit to that she can get some rest.

well, it's been maybe 4-5 days since they haven't eaten. are you sure this is normal and i shouldn't worry? everytime i put a cricket in, they ignore it.

theyll eat when they are ready, dont worry
