I use Aspen bedding with mine, Ball's like to be dried out it seems, I've seen people who have soaked their's and they tend to end up with water sores. Try drying it up first, put a small dish of water in with it so it doesn't get dehydrated, but small enough that it can't soak itself. Give it 2-3 days, if it doesnt work, ask again

Well, first off, you don't want to "eat her up." You would want to up the humidity in her enclosure. Spraying her would help; you could also make a humidity box (a tupperware box with a hole cut out on the side and filled, partially, with damp paper towel or spagnum moss) for her to crawl into. If you choose to provide her with the humidity box, place the box in the heated part of her enclosure. As for feeding, you could wait until after she sheds to feed her.

What are your humidity levels? If they are in between 60%-70% you should be fine, and not have to do anything except let nature run it's corse. If you live in a dry area of the country like myself, you'll have to find a way of uping the humidity. One way that has been mentioned is to keep the subtrate moist. Another is to build a humid hide. A well placed water dish that is placed over your heater. Or you can build a home made humidifier out of a 3ltr. coke bottle, some aquarium air line tubing, and an aquarium air pump. Just remember that short periods of soaking or just getting the snake wet with a water bottle is going to dry them up more. Try to up the humidity in your enclosure especially during shed times. Retained eye caps are no fun!
Good luck
