Emergency!!! Fungus on eggs

lepidosauria Jul 03, 2003 02:34 AM

I have 2 leopard gecko eggs and they are both developing a fungus on them. They are in 100% humidity at 81.5F. I'm using the same setup that I've had success with my beardies and aside from the fungus the eggs look good. How can I stop this fungus without losing the eggs. I know Candy used to be a lotta help with both my beardies and anoles, is she here too, if so I hope she or someone else can help.

Mold on eggs is almost a sure sign that they are infertile. If they did get turid after they were laid you can try applying some anti-fungal foot powder to kill the fungus.

Good luck,

Wipe the fungus off with a tissue and then sprinkle a SMALL AMOUNT of athlete's foot powder around the eggs and and even smaller amount on them. Too much powder will poison the eggs.
