Is this good as a permanent substrate, or should it only be used temporarily?
Sorry, let me introduce myself. My name is Amanda, I am 17 years old and live in Florida. I brought in two Cuban Tree Frogs a year ago as pets and I just love them. One recently passed away but I have gotten a female for the male remaining. Their names are Beady and LadyBella (long story
)
Anyhow, for the year/year and a half that I've had these little guys, I've always hated their substrate. It's... oh shoot, I forget the name, but it's dirt. A big brick of dirt that expands with water.
I'm wondering if paper towels would be okay as a permanent substrate because the dirt seems to bother them. Never had any problem with impaction- they pass is very well when injested. But I would assume dirt sticking to your skin is no fun!
Thanks.
