tegu shedding question

Hi my tegu is 51inches long he's shedding right now, is that mean he's growing bigger for his old skin or he's just shedding because of some other reason. Please anwere me.

I believe reptiles shed because they are growing. Yours sound awefully big though, but Im sure it's possible for it to continue growing.

Yeah, reptiles grow their entire lives and so they shed there skin from time to time. I can't be sure of the frequency for adult tegus, but they slow their growth dramatically after they reach adult size (which yours obviously is). So nothing to worry about.
