n/m i hear about 4 months right?
almost certainly older than that. expecially if you got it from a pet store. i'm sure most people are familiar with the fact that things grow much slower when not fed, and not properly maintained. i purchased a frilled dragon that was at a pet store for nearly 6 months and didn't hardly grow an inch. now a year and a half later it is still not growing as quickly as it should due to the fact that it was stunted when it was young.
there are many factors that play a role in determining the age and it could be any where from 4 months to a year old. another major impact could be that it is likely a young wild caught animal, and typically places that get wild caught animals and sell to pet stores don't keep them in prime conditions.
if you can post pictures and something to judge the size by i may be able to help you out more.
ok not to sould like a [bleep] but i work at the pet store i got it from. in fact we over feed out reptis to me. petsmarts office says feed all our animals 2 times a day. but yeah i know what u mean. alot of places are like that.
that's why i said it.
to make my point that animals are rarely cared for. sometimes they are, but a majority of the places you get them from don't care for them ( if it's not from a good breeder or a handful of other importers). so not only do the pet stores not usually care for them, but a lot of the importers are the same way. try to get some pics up and you may want to ask these questions on the water dragon/basilisk forum if you haven't already.
ok i will post a pic of him soon next day or two
