Curious colouring on a Brown Snake

I was out in the yard catching crickets for my lizard when I came across a young maybe half grown brown snake... the odd thing about it is the snake is RED... we caught 4-5 greenish/tanish (plain)ones in the same place but this little snake is firey! Is this a normal colour??? I have never seen one this colour before so I was curious! Cat

Are you gonna keep it because i've never heard of a red one

Take a pic of it so I can see exactly how red it is. I've seen light red ones many times before.
