Daphne, the girl who got me hooked:

Augmented...my fat little male Borneo

And Diminished, my little girl who *still* won't eat....*sighs* I'm trying though...

ahh I love my kids....they're so pretty

I got Daphne in September 03...I think she was a few months old when I got her. Now, she's about 33 inches.

Augmented and Diminished (musical names) are about sixteen inches each...I got them the day before Halloween and I think they hatched in the late summer.

hope you've enjoyed my sweeties

All of the snakes look great, hopefully you can get the other little borneo to eat sooner or later, the pair of them both look really great, and daphne looks amazing as well.

Hey,
I find that with difficult feeders, despite the contrary, I do tease feed them using a pair of 12 inch long forceps, and a warmed mouse on the end. I use a very dimmly lit light, or none at all, and tease the snake by tapping the mouse gently against the snakes nose increasing the tease a little bit at a time. I try to get their attention as much as possible. If they are hidden inside their hide box, that is the perfect time to tease them as they are curious to find out what is lurking in front of the box. You can tap on the front opening of the box, and as it pokes its head out to inspect, you can hold it in front of the nose and tap it against it gently and wait for a reaction. Sometimes they will sniff and grab and constrict. The idea is to not give up. They do eventually come around to this technique and feed of their own will.

I think I'll try that with my little girl and hopefully, it'll work. She's been a bit more active the past few days so I think now would be a good time to try...do you think a baby rat would work? I have an almost constant supply of them...

and everyone else...I'm glad you like my snakes
I saw the male with that funky stripe and immediately fell in love...and I also wanted one that looked more....natural I guess...hence Diminished
ahh my beautiful ones

Hey,
Rat or mouse, so long as either one is small enough to not menace your and her intentions; just remember to keep it warm. And don't use your hands!
Good luck!
