10 gallon aquarium minimum, bigger like a 20 or 20 long is better.
You need heat source for it, like a heat mat or a ceramic heat emitter. I keep mine about 86-90F on the hot side and the other side is cooler (so they can be comfortable)
You need to give it 2 hiding places minimum, one on hot one of the cooler side. The one on the hot side should have paper towels or moss inside it and mist it with water from a sprayer every day or so so it stays humid. The other one can just be a place to hide. Use a butter dish upside down with a door cut out, or go fancy or buy one.
You don't need stuff for it to play on, like a log, fake plants, or some rocks, but they enjoy it.
You need a little dish for water, and calcium and food.
You need vitamins made for leopard geckos to sprinkle on its food daily, and calcium (w/o D3 added) just put that in a bottle cap or something, they lick it when they need it.
For the substrate, paper towels, ceramic floor tile, or sand. They can eat the sand though and die if they get impacted so a lot of people don't use or recommend it.
A screen top if you have a cat or dog or something that would get in there and eat or bug it.
Stuff to keep some food insects in. Crickets, mealworms, or silkworms are the usual staples of their diet.
Oh yeah and you have it give it love.
Here is a picture of my leo setup.

I forgot a book on leopard geckos is a good buy too. It isn't necessary, but it has a ton more info than care sheets on the internet. Someone can recommend a good one on here.
