HELP!!!

victor_1616 Dec 22, 2004 12:31 PM

I woke up thismorning to find the inside of my beardies cage covered in what appears to be puke. It is a bunch of mashed up partially digested crickets. At first i thought it was a problem with the crickets but my chameleons enclosure is barf free and they eat from the same cricket bin. What is wrong with my beardie plz help

It could be a lot of different things. Lets start with temps. What are they, basking and cool end and are you measuring surface temps or ambient air temps? How large are the crix and how big is your dragon? What substrate do you have it on?

His temps have been the same since i bought him like 1 year ago. The warm and cool end are still the same. The substrate is sand, but there was no sand in his barf. The cricks may have been a little large i dont usually feed him with crix tht size, could tht be the problem? everything else is the way it always has been other then the size of the crix.

Ok, I see the pictures almost a year old but how big is he now? A year old beardie should be able to take any size cricket without a problem. The sand is a little worrysome, if it caused an impaction it would account for the barfing. Has he been passing stools alright lately?

I am in no way an expert but I do have 3 beardies and one of them does puke also. She pukes when she overindulges on crickets or mealworms. She's like a race car on the Indy 500 when she gets those. However she never pukes on veggies though. Just my 2 cents!!!! (*_*)

He is 15 inches now at 1 year of age i fed him a good 2-3 hours before the lights went out and yes his stools are just dandy.
