Six month old burm, size?

Katt Dec 22, 2004 01:46 PM

What is the average size of a six month old burm? My little guy isn't as big as I think he should be, but then, he's a little bugger when it comes to eating rats, consistently refuses, but will chow adult mice no problem. I have no problem getting rats, but mice aren't as easy, thus I think he may be undersized. He doesn't look thin or have loose skin. My first burm I bought as a yearling and she was about 5 feet.

Thanks!

I remember thinking the same thing when my burm was about 6 months of age. He was still on mice and quite skinny and only 4ft. Get him on rats yesturday! Even a small rat close to the size of a large mouse. Rats are just a better food source. When my guy got on rats I noticed huge growth increases.

If he is not taking rats for you starve him out. Hunger will take over his personal preferance.

4 ft is a good length for a six month old burm.
