for the last couple days, ivan's toes have been twitching. i know that it is a sign for impaction and MBD and her toes have twitched before when she was impacted. unfortunately the lube stuff they gave me is in san deigo. i have tried soaking her and so far have gotten nothing. i really don't think it is MBD. she is very fat, as she always is, and otherwise very healthy and has even been eating. the other day her toes stopped twitching after soaking her and today i noticed them doing it again but nothing happened after this soak.
she is not on sand right now, she has had a hard week going from CA to WV in a box and then WV to SC. the stuff she had before was some kind of hairball helper, should i try to find some here? would mineral oil help her at all? there is only one reptile vet here and i cannot see her until next wednesday because of holidays and surgeries

twitching toes

a LACK of, Isn't Ivan the female who layed the eggs? Sometimes awhile after laying you begin to see toes twitching or legs, or can twitch or tremor anywhere.
I would think this before I would think impaction. I just went through this with Hopi, very twitchy , she layed 4 clutches this season, takes alot out of them, and they need a calcium suppliment.
Most people here will tell you when they see toes twitching its a lack of calcium.
