75 Watt UVA Flood

I got one of those 75 Watt UVA Floods at Petco for my monitor at about $6. Not bad. I asked the kid who was taking care of the reptiles and he told me not to go with the 100 watt one but get the 75 Watt one since it is perfect. Whats the difference between a UVA and a regular bulb?
