I asked because im sure many of you like myself like to see a real nice natural setup and a leo setup cannot be more natural without the use of sand can it???I dont use sane at present due to the fact i dont have enough leos for a decent setup.Thx for the replies tho and being honest!Gilbery007

absolutely. I love a natural looking setup. I also use rainbow rock, grapewood, and cork bark and live plants where possible. Why can't you make a natural terraria for just one leo? a 10 gal tank should still be big enough to make some natural looking stuff.

I do....have been for the past 10 years with 15 of my adult leopards and no problems(I love to have naturalistic setups). In the wild they are walking around on alot more coarser material than what I'm using.I buy pre-washed playground sand for 4 bucks a 50 lb. bag and it goes alot further than a 1 or 2 lb. bag for $15 at a pet store. Just my opinion....

I keep both my adults on sand.I have noticed increased activity since I switched to sand about a month ago and I never see them eating any but if I ever do them I'll switch back to tile.
