Hi,
I'm wondering if someone can help me. I have a 2 yr. old bearded dragon. Recently, I've noticed a few scales on his nose are raised around the edges. When you look at him in profile, you can see that the scales are not lying flat. There is no sign of the yellow fungus I've read about or any redness or irritation indicating mites, and it's not a soft bump, like an infection underneath the scales. They're just a little raised, about 2 or 3 of them. He gets his greens, vegetables, and crickets, supplemented with fruit occassionally as a treat. I dust his food with the calcium and Vitamin D that he needs and he also gets vitamin powder too. He has both types of lights, basking and UVA/UVB. He's eating fine and acting normal. I'm wondering if it's just scale damage from bumping his nose on his rock twice in the past month? Is this the cause for the problem or should I take him in to a vet?
Thanks,
Sekhautet
