I live in Indiana where the humidity is high but not enough. I mist my Juvenile panther chameleon's cage 2-3 times a day and also have a dripper. He looks a little dehydrated but is very active, colorful, etc. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

You could try putting moss at the bottom, it raises the humidity level. Use bed-a-beast, it traps in moisture, also increasing humidity. Real Plants help too. Also, there is a mat on the market that you soak in water, than put it at the bottom of the cage, it slowly releases vapor to help with the humidity. Also, you could buy those under-tank heaters, and on top of that, place a big wet sponge, you could place these heaters and sponges around the cage, the heat causes the water to evaporate, and the humidity level goes up, and the moss and the dirt helps trap the humidity and keeps it humid longer. Good Luck

I made some suggestions about this a little earlier in the forum...scroll down 2-3 days ago. Basically the easiest way is to stuff the cage with live plants, provide part of the cage that is shaded or tarped over to provide a refuge from sun, wind, and heat, and drape a "porch cooler" type mister over this part of the cage. You can run the mister on a garden hose timer. Set it to mist several times a day especially when it is hotter.
