keeping leopard geckos

mster Dec 23, 2004 12:10 AM

Hi, i would like to get about 4 geckos (3 female,1 male) and breed them. but i was curious would it be a problem to keep all of them in a 20 gallon tank. Also do you have to make a certain place of them to lay their eggs like you would for a chameleon or would they lay them in thier hide. Thanks for your help

I think a 20 gal is too small. Usually you want 10 gal per leo. You would also need a back-up setup in case of fighting, intimidation, or the male stressing out the females too much.

They do need a laying box or they can become egg-bound, usually their humid hides will work.
