Calcium?

DiscoBC Dec 23, 2004 12:19 AM

Rep-Cal question...what are the pros/cons of using their calcium WITH vit.D3 as opposed to the calcium without? I've read conflicting statements about the possibility of vit.d toxicity in captivity. i have 2 hatchling T.c.c being kept inside for the winter, with UVB/UVA lighting, which i know let's them regulate vit.D in some way. any advice/experience welcome. i'm currently using the calcium with vit.D. thanks.

I probably shouldn't answer since I don't know of any research being done on the two products, but as liong as you know this is just my opinion I would say it is good and safe to use the Calcium with Vit D3 as long as you don't overuse the product and are feeding them mostly fresh and natural foods. Perhaps when a person uses a lot of dried or canned products that already have Vit D3 in it there might be an overdose problem. I'll check around to see if there is more info about this issue.
