Midland watersnake

SalS Dec 23, 2004 01:13 AM

Just thought I'd post a picture of my young midland watersnake (N. s. pleuralis). He has a neat blotched pattern and really isn't "banded". I know he isn't a young erythrogaster because he has the crescent moons on the belly and his pattern is getting brighter with age.

I had to snap a few picture before he realized I took his hide off and scurried off to his water.
