infrared lights

can pacmans and pyxie sense the red light as daylight? I want to be able to regulate the heat at night without affecting their normal activity cycle

Anurans can see in the red spectrum of light. They have a visual absorbtion peat at 580 nm. (for a full explination see Amphibian Biology by Duellman and Trueb.

Infrared lights should be fine as long as you monitor the temp and the moisture content of the cage.
Its a long topic and would take forever to type it out but intensity can be more important than the color of the light.
