It's pretty normal for a uro shed to take a looooooooong time. You can help by letting him have access to areas of varying humidity, so he can choose what feels good for getting the skin off. If you can, put some different kinds of rocks in his enclosure to rub on - that way he can get the shed started.
My anoles shed in about an hour - one minute they look like rotting zombies, the next they're shiny and beautiful again.
