How would i introduce a male to a female...

alebron Dec 23, 2004 02:25 PM

I heard of many "horror" stories out their, when the male gets agressive and bites the tails off. I have the female in a 20 high, and im going to put the male in their. The male has quarintine for quite a period of time showing no problems. The female is about in the 30ish grams area, also she is around 10 months old. I also set up another tank just in case their is any problems i can place the male in another tank.

Some think a formal introduction, followed up with dinner and a movie is the least that should be expected .

Placing the male into the females cage is the right move.

Other than that is it safe to assume the female is aprox the same size or a little larger? And myself Ild wait untill a year old although ive heard of breeding at 10 months.
