Oocvatochus rufodorsata or E. rufodorsata questions

I am writing a care sheet for this snake and would like the following indormation.
Time from mating to hatching.
temperature requirements.
will the young take pinkey mice or best to start on a fish diet.
Are they easy to get onto pinky mice.
Any other information that Is relevant.

They don't hatch. These snakes are live-bearers.

Same as other cool temerate snakes..70-82*F, should do it.

Young are too tiny to take pinkies. Probably will have to start on guppies or tadpoles.

Should be able to switch to mice when big enough to swallow pinkies.

Wild caught specimens make terrible captives. They usually die from disease and parasites before they can be established. Not many people have kept them very long even when established. I think someone could do well with them if they live long enough and one was really dedicated.

Thank's for answering my questions. I did know they were livebearers it was a typo.

I have managed to get a few of these from an importer they look to be in excellent condition externally. Three of them is taking defrosted lance fish.

Hello,
Oocatochus consist from two words - first is "egg" and second is "delay". This name was created by Notker Helfenberger, when he do revision of genus Elaphe.
