I was thinking of getting a reticulated python from here on kingsnake. when retics are first born are they gray? i've seen some 04 babies that are brigt orange and some are gray so I'm guessing one is younger or getting ready to shed.

There are a few diffrent color morphs in retics. its kind of like corn snakes, they come in many diffrent colors. The normal look in reics is usualy a grey base with patterning over it. The orange ones are probably tigers, or super tigers, then you have your albinos, and calicos, and that sweet sweet golden child....

Can you tell me some of the ups and downs on gender of retics? Like are males more aggressive, do females tend to bite more, and stuff like that as I am sure choosing the right gender as a pet has a great outcome. Thanks again.
the only notable diffrence is that females get larger. Other than that, personality varies from snake to snake and with the amount of time you put into it.
