What is that thing you have going into the humidifier hole that connects to the long pvc pipe(i have the same homes humidifier as you)?

The 2” piping wouldn’t fit nicely into the humidifier tank so I used a couple of adapters. The larger adapter is glued to the tank with silicon. A smaller adapter fits to the main pipe. The whole thing just rests in the larger adapter. I would bring the tank into Lowes and play around with parts until you make a fit.

All the ones I am finding have an irregular or oval shaped out put hole so you can't use PVC like that to channel the mist.
Also is it a warm mist or cool mist humidifier?

Just get the 2" 10 footer then cut to size with hacksaw. The 2" pipe will fit right into the humidifier hole since the hole is tapered but make sure that the piping does not move when installed, you could possibly break the tank with the leverage of the pipe.

...I have ALL the answers - just kidding. BUT...re: the 10' length - HD will cut it (they did mine and it cost all of about $5.00 or less for everything) and if for some reason they don't a simple hacksaw will easily do the trick.

Sonia - humidifier I have is Sunbeam Ultrasonic Humidifier with NiteView Model #:699(see link) and paid about $30 for it at K-Mart and it is a perfect fit (round opening) for standard 2" PVC. The hole is tapered so when you have it cut allow enough for it to set into the hole. I have not needed any gaskets or adapter.
here is a pic of my set up (back of humidifier). More in the gallery under lele/setup

But I just have the whole thing in the cage. I never thought of just getting some 2 inch pvc. Glad to hear it works with my sunbeam brand humidifier. I will give it a try.
