want to get my gecko some friends

ok for christmas if i get any money i want to buy more leos for my little girl and if i look at a pet store how old do they have to be before you could sex them because i dotn want them to mate or if i order them or go to a pet show i want the other 2 to have never seen each other in their lives so there is no comptetition but im probably getting a 20gal long tank is that good for 3 possibly 4 leos

A 20 gallon tank is sufficent for approximitley 2 full grown leopard geckos, I would go with a 30 gallon or 35 for 3-4 so they are more comfortable.

I agree with the above post. 10 gallons per leo. Also, make sure you have seperate tanks set up for quarentine, and also in case fighting does occur. Make sure you figure in a fecal check in the cost of the leos too (especially if buying from a pet store), and any meds they may need. It would suck to get a leo that has a parasite that spreads and kills all the leos you own.

Also, competition can still occur regardless of whether or not the leos "know each other". Size, sex, housing, and food are just a few reasons that leos may intimidate another into not eating.
