well IMHO: find out what kind of housing you will have first.
are you going to be in a "dorm" or other shared housing?

If so then hold off on the pet untill you and the rommies have been together for a while.

some folks have fear of any reptile.

some folks can be mean and cuel.

some dorms may not want herps due to problems from past students.

start w/o the pets, check the environment and the politcal stuff.

then *IF* you are 100% sure you want to try it talk to folks and make sure they are ok with the idea.

all of that is if you are sharing housing.

if your lucky or rich well ...

Most dorms won't let you have pets at all. My school's dorm won't even allow fish or sea monkeys.

If you do move into a dorm, and they do allow pets then why don't you keep the ones you already have? I mean it'd be good for you to have a pet you know and love and know how to care for already. It'd be hard to say goodbye to something you've had for awhile.

If you move into any place that allows pets you can still keep the ones you already have. If not you keep them, can't your parents or a sibling?

I just am saying that because I know how hard it is to say goodbye to a pet you loved.

But if you are dead set for selling them, then you have to figure out how much time you have on your hands.

If you get a bearded, you have to choose between a baby, a juvenile and an adult. Baby's need a lot of time and effort (I love putting in time and effort with my beardeds). They need fed 2-3 times a day with pinhead crickets, and they need fresh greens offered all day. They also need to be misted 1-2 times every day. Juvie's don't need as much as babies and adults need even less.

In MY OPINION leopard gecko's are easier to care for. I have one and she's real easy going. She likes to be held and walk out on my bed and explore. All leo's eat are mealworms, wax worms(

Ok it cut me off in mid post for some odd reason. Anyways wax worms-occassional treat, helps them gain weight. Mainly mealworms and crickets.

I hope you make a good decision as to what to do.

Good luck with college also!
