Optimun nite time temps

I know that the hotter side of the tank should be around 88 degrees during the day. Whats the temp best kept at at nite? Maybe this is where i'm going wrong...........

I keep mine around 87-89 in the day and about 75-79 at night.

I keep the heat pads on the same settings 24/7 and haven't had a problem. The air temp drops but the ground temp stays the same. The air temp goes from about 84 to about 74.

Thanks for replying. So you don't use nite lite at all? I've been using a day light and nite light.
