Ok some people my have read a post up a few days ago about how my baby albino ally wasnt eating. Im finally ate a worried moment. I was told not to worry about her not eating until she begin to loose weight. Well she has. she lost .2 grams since tuesday night. She was eating normal until I had to put my other baby down because of coccidia, I had bought her with it and didn't know. It was sad. But they were separated but still could see eachother. Well since then she hasnt ate at all, except for what I have been hand feeding her. But since lastnight she wont eat at all. I have tried everything. For instance.
Hand feeding her crix. she use to eat from my hand but not now.
She wont touch mealies.
Feeding her bug slurry.
Getting a mealie and chopping of its head and trying to feed her that way.
Putting some silk worms in a syringe with her vitamins and calcium.

NOTHING is working. I dont want her to lose anymore weight. But she has checked out to be fine. Vet cant find anything with her.

ANyone have an idea?

Have you tried getting turkey baby food and putting it on her nose and then she might clean herself up and eat it. Keep us updated. Katie

If she came with another leo that had Coccidia, it is very possible that she too has it. I would take her to the vet to be sure if she does or not, and until then make sure she is separate from all of your other leos. My baby albino wouldnt eat anymore too, so I went and got some turkey baby food and she has been chowing on it, i have also been adding chopped up mealies and crix to it. Hope you figure out what is wrong with her soon. good luck!!!

I have took her to the vet, and she doesnt show any signs of it on her fecels or anything. He still gave me some albon to give her just in case she does begin to show signs and so on. She is in a seperate tank. She is in a 10g and my male is in a 20 g. I hope i figure out too. I'm heading to the store, to get some baby food. I'll keep u guys posted.

Thanx

Ok... Went to the store but some gerber turkey baby food, bought two just incase for future refrence. Came home got a mealie and chopped it up and got some turkey food pixed it all up and put it in her syringe i feed her with and she ate some. WOOO hooo. After a little while she began to lick it off without me trying to put it in front of her. But then she lost intreast in it. But she did it some. A lot more than i have been able to get down her. You think I should put some miner-all in it too? I gave her her mmeds for 3 days. I am not going to give it to her today and the next few days to see how that works. Her feces arent that normal. They have the urates, but the actual feces is dark black, and its kinda well not runny but it just soakes up in the paper towel. The vet cant find anything wrong in her feces. You guys have an idea?

Her poops are probably like that because she is eating liquid forms of food now, not solids. Nothing to worry about. I would add some miner-all to the mix...she'll need her vitamins/minerals to help her get better. Great to hear that she got some food down!!! Keep us updated!!!

How often should I try to feed her? I dont want to be bugging her all night trying to make her eat.

If I remember correctly, when they are on Albon make sure they are well hydrated because Albon is hard on their kidney. The other thing I have heard is to give them a little of live culture yogurt after the treatment is completed to replenish the good bacteria they lost during treatment. If you give your leos a dose of panacur each month it's a good idea to give them a few licks of yogurt too.
