Some Bearded Dragon Christmas Spirit. It's Kinda Funny!

rujonesin Dec 24, 2004 10:19 AM

I found this on the web for those who haven't seen it before.
Merry Christmas all!

Author: Deborah Stevenson

Twas the night before Christmas
and all through the house
Were some crickets, some greens
And a small pinky mouse

The hatchlings were nestled
all snug on their branches
Envisioning colorful mates
from Sandfire Dragon Ranches.

The stockings were hung
by the food dish with care
In hopes that some superworms
Soon would be there.

And dad in his hammock
and mom on her rock
Were bobbing and waving
In time with the clock.

When from the screen top above
there arose such a clatter
They blackened their beards
Wondering what was the matter.

When what to their wondering eyes did appear
A human hand sporting a plastic reindeer.
The reindeer was placed in the substrate floor
Looking quite out of place in the desert decor.

"I'll lick it, I'll bite it, it looks too big to eat
Perhaps a good tail whip and it will be beat."
Dad bobbed and bobbed, and mom waved her arm
Until they both realized it meant them no harm.

So with bellies full of crickets and not up to the task,
They returned to their spots and continued to bask,
But I heard them exclaim as the timer shut the light,
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.
