Hi. I live in Phoenix AZ and am planning on getting a beardie. I have been doing a lot of research and think they are so beautiful and wonderful pets. I have 4 tortoises so reptiles are not totally new to me. I have been researching different kinds of reptiles (snakes and lizards) and these seem to be the best. I just love how beautiul they are and they (the ones Ive seen) seem to be so calm when older. The next reptile expo isnt until March so I have plenty of time to get ready for one. If anyone has any good websites for me to look at about the care of these guys, that would be great. Also which gender makes a better, friendlier, calmer pet? I held an adult male before and he was very friendly and calm just sitting on my arm for as long as I wanted. I will not be breeding so it will just be a pet and are they very social? Because I would hate to just get one and then it become depressed or something from being lonely. I am gone for a good amount of the day (school) so it would be alone during that time but when Im home it will be taken out for a while every day. Would 2 males fight or get along? What about 2 females? Thanks
Meghan

In a lot of the posts people's signatures contain their own website addresses. A lot of them have really good care sheets, and if you have any questions you can ask the writer of the website themself!
