ovulation and shed question

if a female boa sheds a month after ovulating is that an indication she is gravid? thanks, scott

Not necessarily, there are a few things that you need to sort out in order to figure out if that was a post ovulation shed. First off are you keeping shed records, because it may have been her normal shed cycle. Secondly did you see distinct ovulation? Those are two questions that you need to figure out whether or not it was her POS. That is where shedding records at least during the months leading up to and after breeding. If your able to sort out that should be a good indicator.

Figure that out and we can probably further assist you in finding out whether or not it was her POS.

hi justin, thanks for the help. i'm 99% sure i witnessed ovulation. she was fed and then 2 days later had a bigger lump than the food item made. it lasted approx 24 hrs. shre shed approx 5 wks ago, that was when the, male was introduced. normally she sheds every 10-14 wks. thanks, scott
