...Dwight's right. We work with the pure whitesides and crosses of those with albino and brindle black rats. Not the glades.

Here's a picture of our brindle whiteside.

Now, if I could get Dwight to trade me some of those for some of mine...

grrrr. Of course, MYExotix is where I saw the best pics of brindle whitesides, and I should have said that the best pics of "ghost 'glades" were at Dwight's site. Don't know what I was thinking!

That's a great looking snake Dwight. In the photo, it looks like that snake has some really nice yellow coloration but not as much orange. Are there white sided quadrivittata?
My albino quads should be hatching in 7-10 days. I'm pretty excited about them.

Hey Chris,
The whitesided mutation has a diluting effect on the affected animal. For example, in whitesided black rats the normal black coloration is reduced to a greyish color. If the mutation did not have this effect then a whitesided black rat would be jet black down the back and white on the sides... if you can imagine that! Well anyways, this same diluting effect occurs in whitesided everglades. The normal orange coloration is reduced to a pale yellowish.

>>Are there white sided quadrivittata?

None that I am aware of, but many breeders label whitesided everglades as whitesided yellows based simply on their yellow and white coloration.

Very cool, hopefully they will all be albinos!! My last clutch of amel yellows finished hatching this morning.
