What kind stuff goes on at snake shows?

what happens at shows just depends are you think of going as a vender or just to see a show? mostly a lot of just looking to see what everybody has and if there is something you want to buy. lots a g&a with the venders and other people looking around. not to much else to be honest, some people can look for hours and ask queston after question and still not make up their minds. me i'm done in about 20 min. if your vending then you just hang out answer questions show intrusted buyers your stock and maybe make a few trades and last minute buys at the end of the day. shows are fun but it easy to get distracked and bring home more then you thought you would. lol at kc I had to sit across from constrictor unlimited and stare at the pinstripe, fires, pieds gentic stripes, and pastels mojaves etc... it horriable i couldn't afford any of them lol.

But are there actuall judges to judge the snakes?

It's not really a "show"...like a dog show...its really an expo where vendors show some of their animals and sell animals as well.

The one in Colorado didn't have any judging/contests and I don't thing it's a big part of any of the shows (mainly just a bunch of booths and reptile talk) but I think I did hear about some presumably walk by judging at some of the big costal shows.

usually a game or two of volleyball.....some tag....hide and seek.....some story telling.........lots of cross country walking*(round and round and round they go)....at times.....some people actually will buy a snake....can you go figure that one out......usually they exercise their lungs and feet.......

funny...I still refer to them as "snake shows" when they are in fact herp expos or reptile shows......lots of frogs,lizards,turtles,dry goods,books,caging/racks,spiders galore,feeders- live and frozen,,and junk....yep...junk.........

junk.==...swords and knives,piercing studs,coins *(even with reptile/amphibian themes it's junk to me).....toys,and yes,even smoking pipes and water pipes........duh......

used to find odd and cool animals too.....wierd mammals.......even bats a few years back *(illegal to sell bats now)sad,,,,odd insects...........cool......now hard to get any good mammals........just feeders.........
