Pyromelana gender question

Drosera Dec 24, 2004 03:34 PM

Hi, I'll soon be looking for an Arizona Mountain Kingsnake (need to rewrite my signature a bit now) and so I have a weird question. Which gender usually grows larger? Thank you very much.

IMO, the males get bigger. There are exceptions to the rule.

My males are larger than sibling females. One of the reasons in my case however may be that my females "shut down" sooner and longer than my males. That is, they stop feeding earlier in the year by about 3-4 wks. Maybe over the years that has made a difference. I dunno.
