Unfortunetly, (sigh) it was in some soil from the males old cage that I thought I had checked most thoroughly, and had been sitting outside on the bricks of my back porch for about a month!DOH! Guess that sink trick really works! Now if I can just find someone who can find these dang eggs either before I throw them out or before another monitor eats them!
