Haven't heard of any, but sure would like to add some mutations to my South Korean line (need to outcross someday). I know someone who has amel. bimaculata though and have heard of hypomelanistic dione. These species desperately need mutations to help with their popularity. Please post pics of your bimaculata when you have a chance and any mutations you come across. I'm going out of town now and will return Monday. Have a joyful holiday season....

I ask about it because not long ago i heard about amelanistic female of dione from Altai region (Russia). I dont sure that this is exactly dione, but i hope that it is so. I will try to get it at next summer, dead or alive, no matter, because this is very interesting for me.

Do you have foto of hypo dione?

Mutations? Ok, i think this is not problem now, i think you see some pictures at my site. This species have many beautiful color and pattern variations.

I will try to post some pictures, but only if i get digital camera from my friends. We dont have any special variations of E. bimaculata.

Ivan, you have a lot of dione and some very pretty ones. Will you ever bring them to the U.S., so we can get some of those genes in our snakes ?

Here is the hypomelanistic dione, from China I think, that I mentioned before...

Someone named, Corey Sawyer, was keeping it in the U.S. last time I checked about two yrs. ago. It originated from a dealer in Hong Kong. I don't know if they ever sold it or what happened to it.

Yep, i have I write article to Litteratura Serpentium (in print) and put to it good fotos of dione variations - see it for more info.

No, i fear i cant do it. I'm work in not rich govermental organisation and it can pay for trip to U.S. But i have good contact with Wim Van de Belt and maybe can visit next Snake Day in Houten.

I dont sure in results of next breeding season because now i try to restore dione group in Tula exotarium and all that you can see is only poor remains of this big group in the past. And i cant promise you something now - priority in diones purchasing have Wim and he reserve most of offsprings. He is our local representative in Holland (and in Europa and, maybe, America too ) and we try create good diones group at his home. All question about bright variations must be solved with him.

Hmm, this is very interesting fotos, this is very sad that you dont know about it hope. Anyway, thanks for sharing

All best,
Ivan
