How much longer do i have to wait???

boastud Jul 03, 2003 12:01 PM

My girl is full of eggs, and i noticed she was digging in her eggbox this morning. I just went to check on her, and she has dug a 12" deep hole all the way to the bottom. Do you think she will lay soon, or is she just practicing?

It will not be long now. She will probably lay this afternoon. Make sure she gets some water through soaking or misting when she is through. Hope you have your incubator rready. Good Luck!

I am worried because tomorrow morning, we are leaving for the weekend for the 4th. We will be back early sunday morining. My room is set at 82 degrees. If she doesn't lay, can i leave here in the nest box for 3 days? I am really worried about her. The box is a 2'x1.5' rubbermaid container.
Help!

What are you going to do about feeding her?? I would want to have someone check on her, and feed her every day while you are gone. I would also want to get the eggs in an incubator as soon as you can. I am no expert but these are my suggestions.

lol I had the exact same problem a few months ago...
-My female was digging to lay eggs, and I was going outta town the next day... I was only gone for 3 days, but I didn't wanna risk it so I left her with someone from my herp society, and she layed 20 eggs that should be hatching in a few weeks

Maybe you could leave her with a friend?
