My Christmas was GREAT! I bought a breedable male pastel ball python for my-self. My friend is giving me some females for my new pastel. AND to top it off my female Henkeli laid a clutch of 2 eggs and I found them on Christmas morning! Oh ya I also got enough money from everyone for Christmas that I can finally buy 1.1 SLOID RED cresteds from a guy!!! So this Christmas was the BEST!!! ERIk
Good look with the new snake and cresties
I was good to myself also, lol. I got a cute female central ameriacan banded gecko.
And am expecting a beautiful new trio of collared lizards to add to my breeding group (pets)
And I also got some money, Oh my, I will have to control myself the next few days, hahahahhahahahah
Hey did you get pics of your new presents?
Heres one of mine, I got her the day before Christmas, from a friend named Chris, so I named her
CRINGLE,
my Christmas Gecko Girl

looks good eve. i was in a pet store once. and a guy brought in probably a week old banded gecko like that. he found it in his piano after moving up here. he gave it to the pet store( gahhhhh!) because i guess he figured they knew how to care for it.
come out of her little cave since I got her. I don't know if shes kind of brumating or if she just feels stressy from being in new surroundings.
( I have looked in the cave and shes fine)
I go in at night, when she is supposed to be up and about, and I have not seen her up
I will have to hunt down a male for her. I have not seen many in classifieds at all.

Eve,
I used to breed c.mitratix a few years ago. Give her a few weeks, they take time to acclimate as adults. Just make sure you keep any males in a separate cage until she's coming out on her own. It took one of my females a few weeks before she really came out on her own. Using plants definitely helps, they feel more secure if they can run and hide under a random object when wandering about.
cheers,
Jason
Christmas is only 11 days away....
I figured she was acclimating, but nice to know for sure. She is real pretty, and looks healthy, just stays in her hide spot.
I will keep an eye on her. I have no male yet so thats not a problem for her. I will look for a male, sometime in the furture when she feels more at home
And when I can find one,
AHHHHHHHHH 11 days and your Christmas will be here.

Give Julie at Gecko Ranch a call. She used to work with them. I think she's out of them now but may have one or two available.
Jason
Thanks again, I have to hold off anyway, due to EVERYTHING else I need right now for lizards,
but soon I will look into a mate for Cringle,
