tell me I need to get rid of those evil things (grandmother..LOL) or won't even come in to the house cause I have snakes and lizrds...LOL Course that makes it for a very peacefull holiday if you wnat my honest opinion....ROFL... LETS HAVE CHRISTMANS AT MY PLACE!!!!! LOL

I really want to get into the knobtail geckos... and those collards asre so beautifull! They are native to Oklahoma and our state lizard so it's illegal to keep them here from what I understand.... never dug too deep but when I lived in Lawton I captured one from the wild and let it bite my dad's ear so while we were at the hospital....LOL They said it was illegal to keep them and the wildlife depasrtment confirmed so I let it go where i caught it... He sure was a pissy little guy... So cute... even ran at me ,jumped and tried to bite me as I was releasing him!! mY KINDA GUY!!lol

LOL, Thats funny! Know what ya mean ! Those knobtails are pretty cool. I personally have never had one, but have seen many.

I have a breeding group of uroplatus henkeli/ big leaftail geckos, and a giant day gecko, and now the banded.

As far as the collards , they are Gorgeous, and BRAVE, hehheheh they will go into attack mode in the wild as you said. But with daily handling , they are pretty friendly and darn cute.

Have to brag, LOL heres a Giant Handsome Male, my buddy KONG
He has become so sweet, I allow this guy to free roam with his girlfriend,

Kong, male aquaflame/ C.collaris

I kinda cheated on the Christmas deal. My dad was here for Thanksgiving dinner & I took my teenage son & daughter shopping the day after Thanksgiving and let them pick all their gifts. On Christmas Eve, my sister & her husband came for dinner & I got to show them my reptile room. They couldn't believe I had so many. I was even able to get a couple snakes out without her screaming! Besides my husband, that's all the immediate family I have. My dad died on the 14th of this month, and he was buried one week before Christmas. So I'm really glad the kids got their Christmas early. I've been staying busy with the lizards to keep my mind off things. Guess you've probably noticed that I haven't been posting lately. On a lighter side, some of my beardies are trying to breed already. The guys are doing their macho headbobs.

Christmas at THanksgiving with your Dad . That was SPECIAL, and you certainly will

******* ALWAYS be THANKFUL , ******* and can remember that day with Happiness , each year.

I know how tough it is after they leave, I lost my Dad, as a teenager and my Mom when I was in my late 20's

Have to say SHE was the one who showed me, and taught me Gentleness, kindness, love for the critters, all the wonderful things , that make me so HAPPY as an adult came from my Mom.
So I know and understand what your going through.

You will certainly MISS having him here, but you will NEVER lose the TREASURES and LOVE from them, that you keep INSIDE.
I know they are with us!

Now as far as the reptile room, glad you got to show it off, lol its so exciting have a room with live cuties, that are thriving, and you can watch and intermingle with, I love it too, hehehehheeh, Wish ya tons of luck with all those beardie Bobing heads,

Take care

Thanks for the kind words. And he died knowing that I was happy in life. He almost didn't come for Thanksgiving. 4 hour drive w/ high gas prices. But he made it. I was raised up to believe that snakes & lizards should be killed. I got the chance to teach him that these are actually loving creatures with personality. He never quite got why I keep two 5 ft. iguanas in my living room though. I've been told that he bragged about me & my herpetoculture. Guess you're never too old to learn. All my beardies have been great for conversation. They don't say much, but they make great listeners. It shouldn't be much longer before fun starts. I plan on having my biggest year yet in offspring.
