why is my snakes belly turning color?

waldo Dec 25, 2004 09:56 PM

my normal colored ball who normaly has a nice clear white belly has now got a orangy/pinkish tint to her belly. She has also been spending more time in her water dish, could this mean that she is getting ready to shed? I've had her for about 4 weeks now and her appatite has been good until about a week and a half ago.Oh, also I changed her bedding,I was using coconut fiber chunks but I switched to aspen shavings, could that have anything to do with it? SHould I worry about the color change? she is 3 years old.

Sometimes, things are exactly as they appear...sometimes.

I would try and get a book on ball pythons and do some reading.
The book will give you knowledge and may answer some questions and concerns you may have in the future.
