I bought a California King today. What is making me so happy is that this actually used to be my snake a few years ago. I raised her from hatchling to about a year old, then sold her and several other snakes because I thought I was getting a divorce and moving out of my house. After a difficult few months, my husband and I reconciled so I didn't end up moving out after all. But I was unable to get my animals back at that time. I've since rebuilt my collection with new animals (obvious by my sig line) but still missed my "original" pets. Today is a happy day because I was able to buy back one of my snakes, my Cali King. I'm in negotiations now to try to get a pair of Corns back as well. While I'll never get all of them back, I am just thrilled to have at least one of them back. You don't often get a 2nd chance like this. Having her back kind of helps me close a really hard chapter of my life. I know that sounds strange, but it's like she is bringing me back to a happy time in my life. Nope, can't really express it in words. Suffice to say, I have my snake back and am thrilled to death about it!!!!!
I had named her "Boo" as a baby and see no reason to change her name now. Here are some pics I took today...
I'll never know if she remembers me or the house. She has a bigger enclosure now, she was in a 20 gallon two years ago, now she's in a brand new 40 breeder.
I can't get over how much she's grown in the past 2 years.
I hope she's as happy to be home as I am happy to have her home.
