corylizardman Dec 26, 2004 06:31 PM

Hi guys i just bought a green tree frog today. Ive been readin care sheets and stuff and they say that they only get to be about 2 inches long. But when i type in green tree frog in good image search it shows pictures of them being held in peoples hand and it tkes up all their hands. So can someone tell me how big a green tree frog gets.

In North America, the common name green tree frog is usually used for Hyla cinerea which doesn't grow much larger than two inches. In Australia, the common name green tree frog is usually used for Litoria caerulea which can grow to a little over four inches. If you live in the United States, chances are you purchased Hyla cinerea as a green tree frog. White's tree frog is what we usually call Litoria caerulea. Good luck,
