Actually, we have had a total of three complaints about this, all of them today. BUT.... I'm also experiencing this. As far as I can tell, all the four users having this problem are using comcast. Is anyone NOT using comcast having this problem?
Draybar, do you know how to trace the route your ISP is using to connect to kingsnake.com? Because there is no slowdown on the servers themselves, so we can't fix anything on our end. I traced my route and did find a slowdown on a few hops using Time Warner, although nothing so big it should have slowed me down THAT much.
If you are using a Windows system, go to the start menu and type in "command" without the quotation marks, to open up a DOS prompt window. Then when it's ready, type "tracert kingsnake.com" without the quotation marks, and then hit enter.
When it's done, copy and paste the whole thing (how you do this will vary from OS to OS, but on mine, I click on the edit menu, then on "select all," then click on the edit menu again and then on copy), and paste it into an email and send it to me here:

If anyone else is having this same problem, whether on comcast or not, please let me know - and it would help me if you could tell me your ISP plus what region of the country (or world) you're connecting from. And if you could trace your route and send it to me, that would be even better. We'll see what we can figure out.
Again, the slowdown is NOT on our servers, so we can't fix it... nothing is broken. But there does appear to be a problem upstream of us. Normally when we have a major problem we get hundreds of complaints, and for this one we have only three, so I'm assuming this is not affecting a large number of folks. But it's extremely annoying - I agree!
