Feeding AFT's pinkie mice?

EBC Dec 27, 2004 09:00 PM

I'm trying to vary my fat tail's diet, he's been eating crickets well but hasn't shown interest in the meal worms I've given him. I read somewhere that geckos will take pinkies. I already have some for my snakes, so it'd be easy for me to do but I wanted to make sure it was safe. My gecko is a little over six inches long and he's healthy. Thanks!!

Most AFT's will accept pinkies. I have some like my Leo's that aren't interested in them and some that love them. I only offer them about once a month for a treat, maybe twice if youre fattening them up. At 6" in lenght I'd be sure to only use new real small pinkies and dab their rear in calcium before feeding.
