a 40 gallon breeder should be large enough for a beardie's entire life. you'll need basking lights, UVB bulbs, vitamins and calcium, a few rocks or logs, water dish, substrate(paper towels or other), a digital thermometer is good too, and thats just to name a few things. crickets are a good source of food for dragons, but make sure they're smaller than the space between your dragons eyes. also, they should be offered veges 24/7 though babies might not eat it.
i do have to commend you, you've already done one thing right: asked for advise BEFORE purchasing your dragon. Just keep reading up on them, they're great animals. Oh, a little peace of advise: they're addictive! make sure you have enough room for your 2nd, 3rd, and 4th dragon! good luck!
